eSim on dual Sim IPhone 13 Pro max

I have just purchased dual Sim IPhone 13 pro max. Based on the information I have all new models support eSim option. I was trying to clarify how I can add eSim without success. Can someone explain how it works? Do I need to remove one of the physical SIM cards in order to add eSim?

If you have a model capable of using two physical SIM cards, it will not have eSIM capability. Such models are typically sold in China, Hong Kong and Macau.

Currently I have 2 physical SIM cards installed in my phone. Was not able to find an option to add eSim as per the instructions you have sent earlier. Purchased eSim plan ( chip one) to test. Used camera to scan QR code, camera recognises it as a cellular plan, however there in no option to add the plan as per instructions, no message comes up.
