iMac 24 inch international travel

I recently purchased the 24" iMac (which I absolutely love).

Long story short, I'm moving abroad and am trying to figure out how to transport my iMac to my destination.

It's impossible to speak with a live agent at the airline, so I'm turning to the Apple Support Community for guidance.

Thanks in advance!

Pack it back up in the original packaging. Bubble wrap that and put it inside a hard case suitcase, or ship it instead of trying to check it as baggage.

It is too big to carry on so if you are going to take it with you on the airplane you will need to check it as baggage. I would strongly recommend using the original box and then taking that box to your local shipping store and have them double box it with additional padding. I would also consider shipping it rather than checking it into the airlines baggage.

You can also search for travel containers for a 24", I have not researched any but they may exist as they did for 21.5 & 27" iMacs.
