I have a 2021 M1 desktop iMac and am looking for a compatible cd/dvd external drive. The Apple USB Super Drive is apparently not compatible with M1 as M1 is not listed among the compatible devices

Apple Super drive works fine with the M1 Macs. I have one. I also have 3 other brands (from Amazon) that work fine. Just be sure to connect directly to the mac and not through a hub.
