Why is my IPhone 2nd generation screen frozen. I cannot turn it off

Did you already try to force restart your iPhone?
Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

Yes I did but still wont work.
