New iPhone: number did not transfer

I just got my new iPhone today and followed all the steps on the screen. My phone finally finished downloading but my number did not transfer onto this phone. I also have no service so I cannot text or call anyone. How do I fix this? I still have my old SIM card but I am using the new one that came with the phone. Thank you!

If you choose to use the new SIM card, then have it activated by contacting your carrier. You can call their support number and they should be able to resolve the issue quickly by activating your new SIM card if you choose that option.
