Phone is frozen..

I needed more storage, so I pressed the offload unused apps option. My phone has been stuck on a black screen and the apple logo screen for hours, and I don’t want to factory reset. What can I do to fix this? :(

Try a forced restart:

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP
  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN
  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.

If this doesn’t work you will have to factory reset it.
