how many active e-sim I can have running same time using iphone 12 along with a sim installed.

With iPhone 12, you can 1 Physical SIM and/or 1 eSIM running at the same time for a total of two active SIMs max. To answer your quesiton, in your case, you can have 1 Physical SIM and 1 eSIM running at the same time.
