i have been locked out my phone because the screen is broken, it says i have to connect to iTunes to unlock but my mac doesn't have iTunes anymore?

If the phone is disabled, it needs to be turned off before connecting and left off and then hold the side button while connecting to the computer as instructed in If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support

Tested another iPhone on my mac and it shows upon finder when plugged in, tested my iPhone on another mac and it still doesn't show up on finder. my iPhone does charge when plugged into mains.
On a Mac without iTunes, Finder is used instead. See: If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support
On finder the iphone isn't coming up on the side bar, the cable works and the i phone reacts when plugged in but nothing comes up on the mac
