Macbook Pro 14" Battery

Hello, I have the newest Macbook pro 14" I want to maximize my battery longevity. At what percentage should I plug in my laptop, and at what percentage should I charge it to?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 12.1

The built in Battery Health Management does this for you, built into the macOS....



The rule of thumb—if you are near the mains leave it plugged in, if you need the portability then run on the battery.

I am plugged in right now because of the convenience of the fast charge. 😉


I agree with leroydouglas's helpful response in that it's okay to leave it plugged in if you are actively using it.


I love using it on battery mode because that what this new machine was built for.
