No Internet at all when not connected to wifi after update

Just yesterday, I installed iOS 15.2 on my iPhone XR. Prior to installing the update, I could access the Internet if my phone was not directly connected to WiFi or if WiFi was turned off. When it was like that, “LTE” would appear between the bars and battery icons. However, following the latest update’s installation, I can only access the Internet when I’m connected to a WiFi network. If I’m not connected to a network or if my WiFi is turned off, I can’t get any connection at all, with the LTE icon gone. Here’s an image of how it looks right now when I’m not connected to a network:

Go through the various suggestions in the support article below but if they don't help, and your network carrier can't help, then  contact Apple Support for further investigation.
