nbrucej,

You mentioned that you toggle Face ID off and back on for that specific app, we assume you did that in Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Other Apps, is that right? Is there a section within the app itself to enable/disable Face ID? You can try toggling it off and back on there as well.

If you are not sure, you may want to reach out to that app developer: How to contact an app developer.

You can also try deleting the app and re-downloading it. That should prompt the app to ask for permission to use Face ID.

Have a good one!

Hi nbrucej,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! From our understanding, when you change an app password, your Face ID stops working, do we have that right? Is Face ID not working with that specific app or with unlocking your iPhone as well?

It looks like you came to us from If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro, which is the best article to assist with this behavior. Were you able to complete those steps? If not, let us know what happened when you tried. Did you receive an error message? If so, what did it say exactly?

Hope that helps!

nbrucej,

Thank you for that information. Since changing that password, has the app been closed out completely? You can also check for any app updates or software updates that may be available. We see that you have iOS 15 tagged in your post, you'll want to make sure you're running the latest version of it ( iOS 15.2).
