Maybe but you did not say what devices are being used for Airplay

Thank you for the response. I was not clear.

The laptop was a MacBook Pro 16", 32Gb RAM, late 2019, running MacOS 12.1. The TV was a 2021 model 55" TCL Roku TV.

I was attempting to show a Zoom Session (latest update of Zoom) on the Roku TV running Apple Play (the Roku version). The link occurred in a normal fashion using MacOS Display Preferences. Apple Play on the TV asked for a four digit to be input on the laptop as the normal security precaution. Problem was that there was no location on the laptopscreen to input the code. I input the code without a screen to do so, but it did not work. Cleared all the screens but found no location where I could input the code. Repeated this sequence several times with no resolution.

I subsequently found an HDMI cord and everything worked just fine.

So what is wrong in this picture?

Thanks....
