so if im having a conversation then the yellow dot should be on right?

last night i was playing a game i play every night and i looked down and realized the green dot indicator was on my phone , since this has never happened before when i play my game i looked it up , now i am under the impression that someone is spying on me through my camera . is this accurate? also if i am having a conversation the the yellow indicator saying that my microphone is on should be on right because i cant have a conversation without my microphone?

Microphone In Use Indicator An orange indicator appears at the top of your screen whenever an app is using your microphone. See Make a basic recording.

Note: Microphone will also be used when you make calls
