Apple TV Wifi code problem

We have a new Wifi network which Apple TV recognizes but when we try to connect to it, it doesn’t prompt to enter a password. Instead, it says the password entered is incorrect — even though we never entered a wifi password.

How do I get Apple TV to prompt a password for our new Wifi netword? Presumably after entering the password it would connect automatically in the future.

Thanks for the help!

If the router/access point is set to apply the WPA3 security protocol, and if your Apple TV box supports up to WPA2, then it won’t be able to connect. If that is the case, then set your router to “WPA3+WPA2” for backwards compatibility.
