Why two steps while can be done in one

I don’t understand why drag a video to iMovie need to become still photo. Why can’t make it drag a video become video? This is very frustrating not only because it’s confusing, I also need to clean up my desktop.

I don't know why dragging a video from the Photos app library to iMovie changes it to a a photo.


For videos in the Photos app, the one-step way is to click on the Photos item in the iMovie project media sidebar, and drag the video into the timeline.


Otherwise, you would need to drag or File/Export your video from the Photos app to your desktop and from there drag it into iMovie. Then you can delete if from your desktop.
