How to fix the start up problem?

My Apple Mac is stuck on the progress bar and never opens. The screen is blank with only the Apple logo and the progress bar in the middle. It’s very slow.

Start up problems At start up, I get the white screen, then the Apple logo, then the progress bar starts but only gets to about 1/4 completed when the Mac turns off. I tried several times with the same results. I tried to start in safe mode but got the same results. In internet recovery mode the spinning globe appears but never leads to the first aid page. Any suggestions?
