There are only two possible ways (currently) that an iPhone could be "hacked:"
If neither of these are true for your phone, then it is NOT hacked.
A "jailbroken" iPhone would mean that its operating system has been compromised. It is something that is possible only if the "bad actor" has physical access to your phone OR you did so yourself purposely. Simply look up "jailbroken iPhone" with an Internet search to get a better idea of what I am referring to.
Your Apple ID is your "key" to access Apple's online services. You used it to log into those services from your iPhone ... or any other device that needs to access those same services. The most common way that this ID can be compromised is if you provide your Apple ID's credentials (username & password) to someone else ... even a trusted friend or relative. Only you should know the password.
The best way to keep your iPhone secure is to install the latest version of iOS on it.
What do you mean by that?
Someone that I know has had their phone hacked and has told me that everyone associated with them has also been hacked.
What is ‘jail broken’? As far as my Apple ID is concerned, if it’s in my phone, is it possible that it could be obtained?
