my alarm won't play a song I select

why won't the alarm I set play the song I want? It just uses the default sound and I don't like it.

From our understanding, your alarm will not play the select song you choose. We can certainly understand your concern and can help provide some insight.

We recommend checking out this link on how to set and manage alarms and see if your steps matches the link: How to set and manage alarms on your iPhone - Apple Support

This wasn’t helpful. We know how to set an alarm. I’ve been doing it for years. Now all of a sudden it won’t play songs I select from my Apple Music library. It defaults to one of the built in alarms which is one of the harshest sounds I’ve ever heard. None of the alarm sounds are soft enough for me to wake up to without me feeling like I’m in the middle of a war. Which is why I select my own music. Now that doesn’t work. I found that if I delete whatever song I want and then re download it then it’ll work. But it won’t last. It will go right back to not working. It is an issue that needs to be fixed by Apple.
