Not just “no” … but the phone will actually continue operating (via WiFi connection) as it did before.


(albeit w/o features dependent on the SIM)


This makes sense as you should verify that the “new” phone works before disabling the “old.”


So if you plan to transfer or to otherwise dispose of the old phone, make SURE that you “wipe” the phone using these directions:
