Night Shift Does not Automatically Shift

On my 2020 M1 Macbook Pro 13, running 11.5.2, Night Shift never came on and off automatically. Either by custom schedule or sun rise to sun set. When its on, it never turns off.


What am I missing. Thank you

Verify your software is up to date, current macOS 11.5.2

Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support



The M1 SoC - SMC reset equivalent is Shut down, close the lid 30 secs+ , reboot as normal to test


no resolve—Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 to clear system cache files, and reboot as normal to test.
