Hi Karina, thanks for your reply to the question. Now I can understand that there is no way to disable the assistive touch when iPhone is locked. But I feel it’s a privacy issue as the assistive touch can be customised and have direct access to important settings for the device.

So when there is an option to disable the control centre when the iPhone is locked. Why there is no option to disable the assistive touch when iPhone is locked? I recommend to add an option in iOS settings to disable the assistive touch when iPhone is locked, so that if an iPhone is lost, the other person should not gain the access to iPhone through assistive touch, as it contains important settings of the device.

Hi kiranhappiness,

Thanks for reaching out using Apple Support Communities. Here to help.

We understand you are using AssistiveTouch and wonder if there is a way to remove this from the screen when the iPhone is locked.

AssistiveTouch is intended to provide an alternative way to interact with the iPhone, therefore by design it will appear on all screens including the Lock Screen. You can customize the menu and actions of AssistiveTouch in Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch. You can also learn more about the feature at the link below.

Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Hope this helps! Take care for now.

Hi kiranhappiness ,

Assistive Touch being enabled should not override lock settings or allow access to settings that are disabled from being viewed when locked.

What type of iPhone do you have? Do you use Touch ID or Face ID? You may wish to review your settings for what functions are enabled to allow access while locked. This is found in Settings > Face ID / Touch ID and Passcode > Allow Access While Locked. Disable any features you would not want to be accessible while locked, and the passcode will be requested if these features are accessed via AssistiveTouch.

AssistiveTouch does not override any passcode requirements, all of these settings will be managed in Settings > Face ID/Touch ID and Passcode. You can review more about these features at the link below.

Control access to information on the iPhone Lock Screen

Hope this helps!
