zero my balance

Buy an item more expensive than your balance and use a different payment method to pay the excess amount; if you can't do this, ask the iTunes Store staff to zero it.

The balance cannot be less than zero. So, if you see a negative amount, that would be a bit suspicious. So, contact Apple Support.
