Does Apple's USB-C to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter support Hi-Res Lossless, at least 24-bit/96 kHz or beyond?

• Per Apple: To listen to songs at sample rates higher than 48 kHz, you need an external digital-to-analog converter.

Apple doesn't post those specs the last time I checked. I seem to recall finding another web site online that had somehow determined them.
