My MacBook indicates service is recommended. How do i go about this?

As the battery is not user-removable, you have Apple evaluate the computer. You can either make an appointment for an in-store evaluation, or use a ship-in service.


This Apple article on the subject has a "Start a Service Request" link near the top. The article also shows US pricing should the battery require replacing.

⚠️ Important! An Apple Authorized Service Provider or independent repair shop may charge 2-3 time what Apple charges for a battery replacement in a Retina MacBook Pro. They lack the specialized work conditions required to unglue the old battery and therefore can only replace the entire upper deck assembly at a shocking cost of US$500-600.
