charging slot isnt working after water

My I phone isn’t charging after I accidentally dropped it in water ,now should I wait or what can I do charge is 2 percent only please reply fast

Hi there.

You should try the methods listed on the support article https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210424 if you’ve dropped your iPhone in water. If it’s still not working, you should contact Apple Support. Never charge your iPhone if the connector is wet, as it could cause permanent damage to the port.
