Old I phone needs a update but can’t not do it

You mention you have an old phone, what iPhone version of this? Not all iPhone's will be able to update to iOS 14.6, for example, if you have an iPhone 6 you will only be able to upgrade to iOS 12.5.3

If updating wirelessly does not work, you might want to try updating via iTunes and vice versa.

• What exactly are you trying to update?
• Are you getting any particular issues?

Compatibility Getting in the Way?:

1. Verify Compatibility:

Updating may not be an option. If such is the case, that is because it does not meet the hardware requirements for iOS13 and iOS14.  So, if compatible...

2. Disable Cellular:

Disable Cellular (as found in Settings), incase it is getting in the way.
