Smart Playlist limitation of repeating random songs

How do you create a smart playlist that plays songs randomly without repeating a song within 40 or 50 songs.

Dennis,

The closest you can get to that is to add a rule "Last Played" "not in the past" "X" "days (or weeks)" and set it for Live Updating. That will cause a song to fly off the list as soon as it is played, and to not reappear until the time limit has passed.

You can do a more complicated thing by setting up Playlist 2 that has the last 40 songs you played, and then setting Playlist 1 to exclude songs from Playlist 2, but probably not worth the trouble. (Personally, I do it with the Last Played time as above.)
