I can’t find it because the person who stole it turned find my iPhone off on that device. I reported it stolen but I don’t want him able to sell it or use it so is there a way to lock the screen so it is useless to him?
It is normally not possible for someone who has your iPhone to turn off Find My unless they know your Apple ID and password. Did that happen? Log in to https://icloud.com/find. Do you see your phone in the device list? If you do click on it and put it in Lost mode.
