MacBook Air Freezes

Of late my MacBook Air (early 2015) running macOS Big Sur suddenly freezes while I am using it. 211 GB available of 250 GB HD. I need help.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Force Quit the App. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201276


Startup in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201262

Select your account and login.

Test.

Log out of your account.

To leave Safe Mode, click Apple logo  in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.


If this doesn’t help:

      Download EtreCheck, run it to see if there is any adware installed or not.

      https://etrecheck.com

      Click  “Free download” button,

      Open Downloads folder, click on it to open, and then select ”Open”.

      “Choose a problem” from the popup menu box, and then “Start EtreCheck” in the dialog.

      Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy report” .

      Paste the report when you reply.

      Note: This is a diagnostic test.
