Previous versions of iTunes had a simple track listing for playlists. 75% of the screen is taken up by a collage of various albums in your playlist. This is bad enough to just list three tracks in the playlist below the collage, while the collage takes up the rest of the blank space.
Bad UI
Ironically, I can turn off the status bar, which takes up no space.
Use the Songs view.
