Hi All. Happy new year.
I accidentally deleted almost all of my music (not Playlists) from iTunes when I was trying to delete duplicate songs. It's about 10,000 songs. I need help restoring/recovering them.
The songs are still in Trash.
I'm on an old Mac Pro 2008, OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 with iTunes 12.8.1.3.
I still have the music on my iPod classic 160 GB (Late 2009) if that helps.
How odd? I've found an old reference that suggests you should have the put back option, but failing that you should be able to drag and drop from the trash to the Automatically Add to iTunes folder inside your media folder in order to add them back into your library.

There is no means by which I can restore the files from Trash. At least I cannot find one. The only button is "empty" and there are so restore or recover options in the dropdowns.
You have a way to remote terminal into my Mac and help me? I'm on California/US Pacific time.
Restore them from the trash, then reimport them into your library assuming you had removed them from there. Alternatively see Recover media from an iPod - Apple Community.

I know I'm not crazy but this is what I get when I right click on a song or songs. Still no option to Restore.
Right-click on a file or a selection of files in the trash and tap Put Back.
