I have 13 unread messages in my email inbox and they are not there wondering how to make the red 13 pop up on the front of the app go away?

Hi RyanTool7,

We see that your Mail app has a badge indicating unread email, but you're unable to locate any unread emails. We can understand the concern, and we'd be happy to help out.

First, let's double-check that there aren't unread emails lingering. To do that, launch the Mail app, and select your inbox. If you have multiple inboxes from different accounts, you may need to try this step for each. With the inbox selected, tap the Filter button in the lower-left until the text at the bottom says "Filtered by: Unread".

If that doesn't reveal any unread emails, try restarting the iPhone, as well as forcing the Mail app to close.

We hope this helps out.

Take care!
