Music not working on iPod Touch

My music app isn't working on my iPod touch. I click on it and it starts to open then immediately closes. I updated my iPod and that didn't help. So then I did a factory reset and at first, it was fine. I could open the music app but then I signed into iTunes so I could get all of my music back and since I signed in, the app is back to not opening. It's the 6th generation model. It has 25.77GB of memory left (out of 32GB) so it has plenty of room. It's updated to 12.5.1 for the software. I only use it for music and now it won't work. What can I do?

Hi there deidra23,

We understand that you are unable to use the Music app on your iPod touch. We’d be glad to assist.

To start, did you restore the iPod touch as new or did you restore it from an iCloud or computer backup?

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Are you able to sign in to your Apple ID to view your purchases on other devices without issue?

Also, let’s follow the steps outlined here:

If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

Cheers!
