When I import photos they show up in recents but not the library

when I import photos they appear in Recents but not In the Library. I have gone through the photo repair procedure but it makes nondifference.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Hi.

If they are in recents, they are also in the library. Are you looking in "Photos"

In recents, right click one of the images and select "show in all photos". That will tell you where they are placed in the all photos timeline.
