Reseller Return/Refund Process

How long does it take Apple to respond to an email I sent to AC_RightofReturn@apple.com? I'm requesting a return/refund for a product I purchased from an authorized reseller but that the reseller can't accept and I just want to know what the timeline looks like since I'd like to get this done sooner rather than later...

y'all i know for a fact Apple has a policy that it will refund purchases from a reseller if the store cannot accept it: https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/sales-policies/reseller.html

^^ it's at that link. the policy exists, i was just wondering what the timeline for an email response was since nobody seems to know anything about it.

If you bought from a Reseller, the Resellers's policies and prices apply.

Apple does not set sales terms and policies and prices for Reseller sales, and will NOT be providing you a refund or honoring the 14-day free return policy unless you bought DIRECT from Apple.

You must deal with the Reseller.

also my original question was about how long it would take whoever is on the other end of that email to get back to me. I spent hours on the phone with Apple associates yesterday - it was confirmed to me that this is possible; i just have to go through that email address. please don't come on here just to tell me it's not possible or that i have to go through the reseller (who told me to use this Apple policy) unless you have personal experience with this process, thanks xx

I did, yeah - I contacted them yesterday, after having purchased the device two days ago. And it's not that I'm rejecting the terms, it's that the reseller can't accept the device because the package has been opened even though the laptop itself is untouched :(

If you go back and read that policy again, that's not an excuse for Apple to give you a refund. The ONLY reason you would be eligible for a refund under that policy is if you refuse the legal terms of Apple's warranty.

Your issue is with the reseller you bought it from , not Apple.
