Hi there, Willozwisp.
It appears that you're wondering how to scan a QR code using your iPhone without taking a photo, and we're glad to help with this.
Scan a QR code with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support -- When you scan a QR code with your iPhone, you'll tap the notification above it. Refer to the image in this article.
Feel free to get back to us with any questions or problems you may have.
Take care.
Thanks for getting back to us with that information, Willozwisp. It's appreciated.
What happens when you tap the notification when scanning a QR code?
If you'd rather, you can reach out to Apple Support for help: Get Support -- Choose Apps & Features > The topic is not listed. Briefly describe the issue, then Continue.
Take care.
this is exactly what i said - you have latest possible version on your iphone, and this version has no scanner for QR codes in camera.
probably, time has come to newer iphone ;-)
Thank you very much. Tried. It may be that my Iphone5 is too old. Didn't seem to work.
scan QR code was added with iOS 11, but latest iOS iphone 5 can get is 10.3.4 and it does not have this feature
No Notification shows. iPhone 5 version 10.3.4 and no further updates available.
Yes, was just responding to another answer asking a question. I appreciate your correct and helpful response. Yes. Time. To upgrade. Thanks again.
forgot to mention that there are many 3rd party apps to read QR and bar codes in app store, consider this option too :-)
Appreciate you helping drag me into the 20th Century...have some catching up to do til the 21st.
