How do I update my iPhone without getting onto it
howndo I update my phone if I can’t get passed the setup part because it needs update ??

Update, Backup or Restore procedures require that you interact with your device's screen. Your device must be activated in advance. If you can't do it, you won't be able to perform any of those processes.
