Battery Health

I bought my iPhone SE 2020 on 18th of Oct.

Today (15th Nov) when i checked the battery health, it was 98%

I am not even a heavy user or a gamer.

The battery health dropped by 2% within few weeks of usage. Is this normal?

And, I charge my phone only if my battery charge is at 5% and plug it out only when it is fully charged. Is this the right thing to do?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Fast chargers are fine

Charge it how you want.

98% at one month is not unusual. Capacity us an estimate and ageing is not linear. But it is normal.

It will drop to 80% before two years are out at which point have Apple replace it for $49

Every time your iPhone battery is fully depleted, it looses a small amount of its original capacity. If you leave optimized battery charging on in settings, it will charge your battery slowly at night because charging quickly wears the battery out faster. And unless you are in a hurry, avoid using fast chargers, because fast chargers wear batteries out more quickly than normal chargers.

Hope this helps!
