MacBook Pro 16 Sound Crackling at Intervals

Hello,

i am facing a strange issue lately on my MacBook Pro 16.

Sometimes while listening to any kind of audio (from videos to music, but even notifications) the whole sound starts to crackle, a lot, to the point that nothing can be understood if the audio contains voice or anything similar.

The issue seems to show up when I am doing quite intensive tasks and it disappears as soon as I stop the task. The last time it has shown up I was building a project and testing it in on Xcode and iPhone simulator. It has never happened before and I am not doing anything different than usual.

Could it be software related? Is there anything I could do in order to fix it? Should I format MacOS?

I have attached a quick video of the issue: https://youtu.be/02gq0ixAwbM

Thanks in advance for any help.
