HELP printer connectivity meltdown

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I do have a Mac. I have an HP Envy4250 all in one printer. All of a sudden out of the blue, when I hit print I started getting messages such as PDE plug in will destroy our printer, report malware to apple. And the PDE plug in was just once such items. And they were in a folder in libraries called CUP which I never created. Every time I tried to print it would create a new one. So I deleted them. Tried to do some stuff from HP troubleshooting on line but now--I down loaded smart HP but then I deleted some stuff and now I have nothing. I feel like I need to delete everything I have anywhere in my hard drive related to the HP and start over but not sure how to do that. I am thinking I may have to consult with someone in person.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
