You can’t rearrange the icons in the app library. Apple in its wisdom has decided that their AI knows better than you do how they should be organized. Your one option is to ignore the app library and arrange apps into logical folders on your Home screen they way you always have.

The App Library is one of the worst features I have ever used on iOS. Convoluted extra layer of Home Screen to have no control over. I keep getting calls from relatives who ask me what happened to their apps. They think they are uninstalled. But now just hiding in the Apple library. Thanks Apple. You might finally get me to pick a different platform unless u make a way to disable this mess of a “feature”

I don't tend to jump on the bandwagon in such issues, but the app library is such a terrible "feature" it should not be fixed or improved.

It simply needs to go away.

ABSOLUTE minimum let users turn it off or hide it completely.

I buy apple products for their ease of use, and forcing me to use something as terrible as the app library makes me genuinly angry.

I’d like to do this too.

Well, what I really mean is I’d like to delete or hide it. I don’t need it.

I understand that some people must think this is a great innovation and they might have previously had a haphazard clutter all over their phone screens but I’ve always been fine naming and arranging my apps in other folders where I wanted them...

So carry on using the Home Screen and folder setup you’ve always used. This is still an option. Only saying because a lot of people seem to think this has been superseded by the App Library and they have no choice. The App Library sits beyond the last Home Screen so you’d never even have to see it if you didn’t want to use it.
