apple pay issues

I have set up apple pay for the first time. when i try to pay it continues to say that apple cash doesn't have a balance and it wont pay on my credit card.

You have to change the default payment method for Apple Pay to a card that is not Apple Cash if you do not have money on your Apple Cash. Or you can add cash to Apple Cash with a debit card - Add money to Apple Cash - Apple Support
