Got a phone call about my account saying there was a security breach

It is indeed a scam.

Apple does not make such calls.

All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to ignore the calls or hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.

I've been getting auto calls on my phone saying my iCloud account has been 'compromised'. I think it's a scam but want to make sure. The recorded voice (and the voice on the phone when I actually picked up the phone) sounded asian.

It's 100% scam.

Apple do not make cold calls unless requested by you.

I hung up on the caller but then looked up apple support on chrome. I got someone who told me to install several apps and almost got me to send money!! Be sure you get the authorized apple support!!
