ipad keyboard keeps disappearing

Why does my ipad keyboard keep disappearing (and it won't come back even when I delete the reinstall the keyboards). There is no bluetooth keyboard connected.

The issue was that Path Input is making the keyboard disappear. I have entered a different post to the community.
