If it is damaged beyond repair, you will need to recycle it and buy a new one. Or, as noted, get it repaired and then use it or trade it in.
You'll have to get it repaired at your expense.
You can't exchange or replace it.
If you had AppleCare+ you might have received a low cost replacement otherwise as the other replies.
To clarify, Trade-in credit is against a brand new phone but you cannot trade-in a cracked phone
