Ipad doesn't power on, just shows the itunes plug in on the screen

As described, you’ll need to restore your iPad using either a PC (with iTunes installed) or a Mac computer (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS). Using a computer to restore your iPad is unavoidable.
