My iphone X doesn’t always ring.

My Iphone X doesn’t always ring when a call comes in. I have checked all volume controls and they are on the highest volume setting. Anyone else having trouble?

  1. Please ensure that Do Not Disturb is OFF (Settings ➔ Do Not Disturb - Set this to OFF)
  2. Please ensure that Silence Unknown Callers is OFF (Settings ➔ Phone ➔ Silence Unknown Callers - Set this to OFF)
  3. Finally, does your issue only occur when you are directly looking at your iPhone? If YES then this is part of the Attention Aware Feature of the iPhone. When the iPhone has your attention while you are looking at the screen (typing, reading websites or working with an app), then it automatically reduces the sound because it knows you are looking right at it so no need to issue loud notifications. You can turn this feature off if you want by opening Settings Accessibility Face ID & Attention Attention Aware Feature set this to OFF.
