I would like to use my iPhoneXs rear camera (the better one) with a Face Time or Teams call on my iPadPro - it that possible, either over wifi or using a wired connection between the two?

In Facetime yes. In Teams, I don't know. Teams is not an Apple product.
But to change from the front to rear camera in a Facetime call, tap the screen anywhere when in the call. A menu bar will pop up with a camera icon in it with a flip graphic. Tap that and you'll flip from front to rear. Whether the same is true for Teams, you'll have to try it and see.
No. Not possible. You have to use the camera on the device the call is on.
Thank you for your quick reply. Actually, what I was referring to was the possibility of using the camera on one device (iPhone) for a call on another (iPadPro).
