Why is my phone saying no service???

My phone has been saying no service for the second day in a row... then it says something about not being able to make calls.. this has been happening since the new update

No service means it cannot connect to your cellular service providers network for some reason.

Try the steps below, stop when you get service back.

  1. You can try turning on Airplane mode, waiting 10 or 15 seconds and then turn it off again, and see if it reconnects: Use Airplane Mode on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support
  2. If still no service, Reboot your iPhone and see if it reconnects: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  3. If still no service, remove the sim card and reinsert it to make sure its making good contact: Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
  4. Contact your cellular / mobile service provider and find out if they are having issues with their service in your area.
