I have a new Series 3 watch, replacing an original apple watch which is dead, no power, inoperable. My new watch will not pair with my old Apple 6 phone. It won't dump my old watch nor will it accept m y new watch. What do I do?

Firstly if the new watch has watchOS6 then it won't pair with an iphone 6,it requires a phone with ios13 or higher which is an iphone 6s or higher.
